Clarice Orsini (1453-1488), daughter of Jacopo Orsini of Monterotondo and of Maddalena of Bracciano; marriage per procurationem in December 1468, the real wedding was celebrated on 4. June 1469 in Florence; a very happy marriage: Lorenzo [de' Medici ] told Pope Innocent VIII shortly after Clarice's death [on 30 July 1488] that she was his 'most dear and beloved wife', and that it was so grievous to him, 'having been deprived of such a sweet manner and company', that he could find no peace.
