Galeazzo da Sanseverino

Galeazzo da Sanseverino (in the middle with the red robe) wasn't forgotten by his friend Leonardo da Vinci in his famous fresco „The Last Supper“. In order to make him fit the role of an apostle, Leonardo painted him with a beard.

Galeazzo da Sanseverino was depicted as Apostle Petrus in the famous painting „The four apostles“ by his friend Albrecht Dürer in 1525 – this was the year, when Galeazzo died with 12,000 other warriors of the French King Francis I. on the battlefield of Pavia
