Giangaleazzo Visconti

In this painting Caterina Visconti is depicted as Saint Mary and St. Catherine of Alexandria as it is customary for a Milanese Duchess

Her cousin and husband Gian Galeazzo is shown as Jesus Christ; Saint Ambrose (on the left side), the main Saint of the Milanese Dukedom is also not missing. The person, a nun or abbess, who commissioned this painting is seen on the lower right side.
